Founded in 1802, Saint Mary’s is the second oldest English-speaking and first Roman Catholic initiated university in Canada. In March 2005, the university began its Science Building Renewal Project.
We installed new natural gas boilers and converted numerous existing boilers to natural gas. We also installed a sprinkler system.
We worked around challenges specific to this project, including creating a cohesive fire protection system one wing at a time while the building remained operational. CPVC piping was used, allowing for smaller pipes to fit the limited ceiling space.
